We just got our first snow up here in the high desert of New Mexico. It was very pretty, big fluffy flakes, blown against the side of buildings and mesas , and sitting softly on all the branches of the evergreens. So picturesque. It's getting colder by the day and the sun falls below the horizon sooner and sooner each day. Exactly the weather for hot tea, big soft quilts, and stacks of good books.

Thunder Mountain
I love the sound of a storm at this altitude. When I was younger, I always assumed that the sound you hear in The Man From Snowy River was a poorly canned version of thunder claps. However, a bit back, when I first experienced inclimate weather up here, it was quite an eye opener. The sound echoing down the canyons is EXACTLY the same. The shivers run down my spine each and every time. I love it. And of course the look of the rain and clouds highlighting each previously unnoticed fold and dip is a thrill to my photofinger.

Participator Vs. Spectator
| Smoke-fed clouds blowing up over the mesa at sunset. |
I don't know how to tell you...
I don't know what to say...
I don't have the words...
I don't want to walk away...
Is it my job to say something?
Is it my place to say?
Should I initiate the topic?
Merely turn my head away?
Do you know the situation?
Do you care enough to try?
Do you notice any issues?
Do you see the times I cry?
I'll never have the voice,
I know I never will.
I'll never own the courage,
Or strength to climb that hill.
You choose inaction,
I choose security.
You shun the effort,
I shy from the sincerity.
I'll never have the words...
I'll never take that step.
I'll choose to walk away,
I'll live without that pep.
I don't know how to tell you...

Stick Boating
Ode to a stick, upon leaving one at an Ohio state park.
O thou my stick
We went thru the thick
We went thru thin
What could have been
Without the Jimmy
Or with someone named Kimmy
We'd still be together
To run through the heather
If only, if only
-An original work from the files of Lady Anne-

This is the potential that was viciously cut off in the prime of life.~~~~~~
We went to Sharon Woods to picnic and boat. Lots of fun, but I met my bosom friend and it was ripped from my life by a car rule. I did get to bring home some cool shells though. Not sure what some are, they look like conch shells but very tiny. I would probably be grossed out if I knew what it was. And the others are some kind of mussel's shell. Very pretty. We got a row boat and spent three hours just rowin' and sleepin'. Well, every one but me slept. I was just chilling. I almost caught a wild cat that was running around but they wouldn't let me stay and get him. They are so mean to me.

SOMEWHERE, OVER THE RAINBOW...
*Sings loudly and off key*Just cheap shots taken on my phone camera, and VERY quickly thrown into a collage. I took these in Oklahoma, the first time I have seen a double rainbow that was so bright it hurt your eyes. A little later it turned into a triple too. You can see the second bow in a couple of the shots but not many. (mumbles curses on her lousy technology)

My Life.
We are not exclusive. We are at all times all-inclusive. We are not a Clique. We are not standoffish. We are a FAMILY. We will not change our united front to conform to the world's idea of "acceptable". We will not turn our backs on each other to fit in with your view of "Friendliness". We will back each other up in our battles and tell each other if we are being stupid. We are God's family. We will be what we are to the end of days. You can not break us, nor change us. We are loving and excepting of all peoples, of all backgrounds and all abilities.You may join us if you will.

Easter's Lily

This was......Easter, '07. At my Grandmother's house.
~~~~~~
I made choir. (yay me) And my jobish issues are beginning to work them selves out, mostly.
All in all, a truly trying day with a mellow ending.
Summertime Reflections
Summer time is almost here again. Well, spring at least. This was taken at last year's Red Earth Festival, with my Canon EOS Rebel, 35mm, low-ish ISO and Fast-ish shutter speed. No clue on the F-stop though. My only problem with this picture is the reflection of a person in the water. Other than that it came out fairly as I had hoped.
Heartbreak, complete and utter heartbreak. And how mature is that? It's a dog. Grow up. But our puppy! Our baby puppy. I can't imagine a home without him slobbering around.
