Happy Ice Day!

Wow, two whole hours on the ice and I never fell once. Yay me! Am I taller? I feel taller. Not a lot, just a little bit. And I taught S2 how to skate too, with never a fall. She is actually really good. No surprise there. I haven't found a thing she or her brother can't pick up within five to ten minutes. Brats.

I was sure my roommate was going to break something. I think she was down more than up. I felt awful for her, but by the end of the night I think she had gotten the hang of it.

I kinda wanted to kidnap the Zamboni man half way through the night to fix the ice. Nothing like off-roading on skates. When you have to start jumping ice burgs, though, I am out!

Happy Birthday to her! Happy Birthday to her!

How old? I don't know...old.

Sea Monsters! Cool! Steeped in evolution, of course. Which worried me a little with an impressionable little pitcher with big ears beside me. But I think I explained clearly enough to let her see the truth. I hope. Cool graphics, though. And awesome on the wrap-around screen. Not as good as the pirates one would have been (if it had been a show instead of a display) but very cool anyway.

A Wedding Lark

Lazy Phil, S, V, E, Pugsby, and I all travelled many an arduous mile to attend the wedding of the late A.T. We arrived to be greeted by a somewhat flustered looking Groom, as he had left the licence forty some odd miles back down the road. (I was mocking him under my breath.)
We were sure that the Oklahoma car wasn't going to make it on time, due to a pair of previously ripped, sown with a paperclip, worn through a choir tour pants being packed instead of the full pair. But after stopping at a grocery store, yep, grocery store and buying new ones, arriving at the church in jeans and running to change...they barely made it.
Of course the church had to be all candlelit, so that every one could take the worst, grainiest pictures possible. But it looked nice...
Till we had to ruin it by putting that^ up front. :)
The least blurry of the blurry ceremony pics.
Someones camera flashed at the precise moment I took the picture. Couldn't do that again if I tried. Lighting the Unity candle.
The Bride and Groom personally dismissed the pews one at a time. This one you can actually see her a little. (I think I shouldn't go hire myself out as a wedding photographer just yet. Then again, could have been the camera.)
The entire route to the reception was covered in these bright neon green signs advertising, of all things, a divorce sale. Now I have heard of movin' sales and estate sales, but this was a first. And a little ironic. Good thing we don't believe in luck.
Wow, don't they just think they are cute.
V kinda looks like he is wearing white gloves. Must be his Micky Mouse sailor suit.
(If you look close, you can tell the pants don't match!)And no, there are no comments forthcoming about the dead cat, I mean beard.

Wow, aren't they cute? Well, I think so. (No silly, I was talking about the cars.)
The reception was very Fall themed. Unusual, but well executed. Apple Cider, hot and chilled, Kettle corn, Cut apples with caramel in a fondue fountain, Bread soup bowls with choice of tomato basil, or potato soup in them, Various finger foods, veggies and such. (I just made myself hungry!) Decor, obviously, was corn stalks and pumpkins and such.
This is the way my doofus brother addresses a wedding card. Miss Manners, He ain't. The back was covered with things like "Time sensitive material", "This side up!"(pointing to every edge), "Fragile!" and on and on.
The tables were purty too, but I mainly liked playing with the sparklies.
After leaving the church and sending LazyPhil and S to careen back toward Oklahoma at what I am sure were not safe speeds, to reach OKC for church sun morning, The rest of us calmly started back toward town. Calmly enough to even stop at Cracker Barrel. (*Sigh* I'm hungry.) Yes it was cold in there. And she still got a Hot fudge sundae. (Really, really hungry.)

HaPpY DaY, hApPy dAy!!!

Better late than never? I wuv you more than they do. :)

"Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose To get the sun back in the sky. Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose About a thousand kisses shy. Ding dong ding I can hear the chapel bell chime. Ding dong ding At the least suggestion I'll pop the question. Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose Without a sweetheart to my name. Lida Rose, now everyone knows That I am hoping you're the same So here is my love song, not fancy or fine Lida Rose, oh won't you be mine Lida Rose, oh Lida Rose oh Lida Rose."

Happy Birthday, Rosie

(Sorry I'm late, couldn't find the stinkin' song anywhere.)
