Sticky Stitches

I made this today. 

It really didn't take that long, but now I need someone who sews to finish it up for me. As it is now it is quite uncomfortable to wear. More like a combo robe & acupuncture set. All around I am quite pleased with it, though. Now if only I had a friend (hint), or a mother (hint), or a sister (hint), who had a sewing machine. (Hint, Hint)

The Snow

We just got our first snow up here in the high desert of New Mexico. It was very pretty, big fluffy flakes, blown against the side of buildings and mesas , and sitting softly on all the branches of the evergreens. So picturesque. It's getting colder by the day and the sun falls below the horizon sooner and sooner each day. Exactly the weather for hot tea, big soft quilts, and stacks of good books.

Someone needs to write this song for me. It's been running around my head for a week now, but I ain't got the skilz to do it justice. (Sounds like a good premise for a SPG song...)

Just a test...

I need to figure out if this app will save my posts between when we have wifi so I can keep updated all through Europe. (Ah, That has a nice ring to it.)

Edited later; Well, I wrote, then it "failed to save due to connection error" (its on airplane mode), then closed out the app and reopened it and the post is still here. Guess that is safe enough. It just says "Retry upload" on it to let me know it isn't backed up online. And since we will have wifi for sure on the trains even if only patchy everywhere else, I am fairly comfortable with this plan.
