"Do you know about the midget clown?"

OK, pictures are on their way from the fireworks extravaganza, but for the moment, I have recalled a tidbit I just have to share.

We had gotten back from downtown and were enjoying refreshments, ( Translation-*trying to gasp some air into our poor little lungs*) at V and E's place. We had gained a few freshmen attachments on the walk back up so of course they had been invited to eat with us.

As we sat there chatting oddly as we are wont to do, we suddenly realized that the freshmen (fresh women) were looking slightly lost and ill at ease. To relieve their fears that we were mad, raving lunatics, we begin trying to explain the randomness that is a Family discussion/gathering.

Into this, and completely out of the blue, one of them suddenly, and utterly seriously, asked; "Do you know about the midget clown?"

Dead silence.

Followed by erupting laughter from every family/adopted family member present.

We think she'll fit right in...
