Autumn Child

There's a smell of Autumn in the air tonight. A combination of the smell of cooler air, burning wood from the bonfire next door, coming rain and the sun-warmed foliage.
It makes me somewhat pensive...


I once knew someone (actually I have known several) that smelled like a cool evening in fall. It tends to make one follow them about sniffing. No wonder I don't see them anymore, since not many people want someone always walking behind them with a perpetual cold.
