My new favorite quote:

"People say scars are chick magnets...
Now I just need to find a way to switch their polarity."

LadyAnne

Please excuse this post, I am obviously too sick to be allowed access to the internet....

Labor Day Fireflies

Right, so I promised I'd eventually get around to posting some pictures. Since I have my (In large announcer voice)*BRAND NEW CANON EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSI 40D!* I do have lots of pictures available to choose from. So you might have to bear with me until the novelty of 90% of my pictures coming out semi-like I envisioned them wears of a bit. Meanwhile, there will be lots of pictures.Ka-boom!
You know the really annoying aunt or cousin or obscure relative that has to get in every single picture at every single family reunion? Well, I have officially met the equivalent in...
THE BUNNY EARS...OF DOOM! Every single shot I took the ears attempted to get in. I think they moved faster than my shutter speed, which was really fast. Really really fast.
There was also a loverly branch that, what with me being short, I was just in the position to perfectly include it in every burst...
These are my Mother's favorite firework. If I could really get here anything for her birthday, it would be this, probably... Lots and lots of these to set off anytime she wants.
This post will be primarily Fireworks shots, though I make no promises.
Yay, a leisurely jaunt through a field of stars...
Whoa, overachievers here... ONE AT A TIME, ONE AT A TIME, PLEASE!
Ah, zi pritty wittle sparks...
~~~~~~
And that is the conclusion of this evenings entertainment. Please come back at a latter date for further updates as to the current health of the bunny ears of doom...
The Renaissance Festival
A few weeks back, or a lot of weeks back, We went to the Ohio Renaissance Festival with V. and E. Since that time, this poor lonely post has been sitting in my unpublished post bin, gathering Internet dust...
The time has come to pull it off the shelf, dust like mad, and expose it to the blinding light of day. (Wow, I just gave myself a headache.)
Th'ar she blows...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With flags unfurled and beating in the breath...
The motley crew. Or most of them... (E.G./S.W./A.T./S.T./T.B./J.B.)
Hmmm.... advertising the Festival or hiding from the camera? I leave it for you to decide... (S.T.)
The hosts. ( Aren't they cute?) (V.T./E.A.S.T.)
The seller was yelling, and I quote, "Nothing shows love like beating on a loved one." (T.B./A.T.)
See? See? I can take pictures of you that look FINE! So there! (E.A.S.T.)
I love the patient look in his eyes. It says very clearly "OK, carried the two ton metal man, ran back and forth like an idiot, stood still for all the short people to touch me...now where is my stall?"
He must have been tired...
That's kinda what I look like on Wednesdays.
Rainbow makers. Ooh, pretty...

~~~~~~
With my picture obsession, I am sure you know that this is merely a sampling of the interesting and incredibly odd shots I garnered from that day. So don't be surprised if they continue to pop up from time to time.
But that should give you an inkling.
Please, don't embrangle the issue...
Some people always bring a smile to my face...even when I want to stab them.
Thanks for that...
That's a new one....or not
My week so far...
~~~~~~
A.C. Just came up to me with a look of wonder on his face. In a voice drenched in amazement, he proceeded to inform me...

Chen: You know what I just thought of?
Me: No. What?
Chen: When you get married and have children...You'll be MOTHER THERESA!
Me: Thanks, Chen. Glad you told me. Never heard that one before...

This must be Friday. I can't get the hang of Fridays this semester. Things like that always keep happening to me... but mostly on Fridays.
