And we're off...

Above the clouds.

Left Albuquerque International Sunport at 10:45 or so. This post was actually written from the air. That's right, feel privileged.
~~~
The Young Squire was asleep before the wheels even left the ground. Now for a nice two hour nap to Houston.
~~~
I am still quite a child when it comes to flying. Just the sheer fact of it makes me grin irrepressibly. All that magic holding this box up in the air is really overwhelming.
~~~
The drinks service is a lovely touch, since I am a peckish traveller. A nice icy cold Coca-Cola goes a long way in my book. (There's a nice insight if you ever need to get on my good side...)
~~~
There is a couple sitting just ahead of us. They are... Very... comfortable... with each other... I'm thinking they should have booked a private cabin. :)
~~~
It's quite a blustery day out there. A bit of turbulence too. And of course we are going from 30 in Cuba to 70 in Houston. Yes, I will be completely annoyed with this coat/hat/scarf/gloves/boots thing by the time we get on the next flight.
No, I was not even remotely willing to brave the chill of NM merely for the convenience of less stuff. At least I know it'll be cold in Germany...
~~~
We were just told by the flight attendant that the young one "would probably be famous, rich and have lots of girl friends".
I think this hypothesis was based solely on his name. Interesting...
~~~
You know, sitting in the last row before the head, you kind of notice the absurd amount of travel to and from. It's absurd, I promise.
~~~
Okay, lots of turbulence coming down...
Lots and lots.

Further updates as events warrant. (Or if I get bored.)

Here we go...

So, my last post from the states for a while. Hopefully I'll get lots of adventuresome updates with awesome pictures attached.

Or I might end up posting a hundred and fifty once I get back from the void...

We'll see...
