Sammy Ayers

Named jointly for the character in What the deaf man heard, and the exact coat replica female we owned a few years back, named Sammy Lane.

These pictures were shot at the two week mark. All of the following pictures were taken tonight. We may or may not have been a little bit crazy...

He's Meowing, not biting.
No, the cat did not touch any part of the mouth. That'd be gross.
Optical illusions...It's all smoke & mirrors.
Proof that he does in fact like people. But me the most. (And yes, he was sleeping there...)
Oh, look, it's Doctor Doolittle!
Lrt2 and I are still fighting over which of us gets ownership...

Flowers for Algernon Moncrieff

"Algy"
Named jointly for the characters from The Importance of being Earnest, and the mouse from Flowers for Algernon. The little fellow started out life as the next to smallest of the litter. Being an orange cat, he was already destined for imbecility, but the time it took for him to grace us with his presence caused even more brain trauma. A week into his life, it was fairly obvious that he was floundering. Currently, at just over two weeks, he is stable, but still tiny, maybe a third of the size of his brother and sisters.

On the plus side, the bottle feeding is having a nice side effect of making the dumb little thing incredibly affectionate. His little broken, scratchy purr comes out at the end of each feeding and he loves to curl up in my hand, (yepp, he fits in the one hand) and falls right to sleep.
