Norway Fairytale

Interesting would be my word for it...but not in a bad way.
Thanks for the heads up, JG.

Wichita Mountains

It being a family outing, of course it rained. Makes it more familiar...
I'm using this one in lieu of the one I wanted to post. The one where LRT2 had it in her mouth...
Cousin in the rain...
Raccoons. Or their prints anyway. Or as LazyPhil said, "Fake animal tracks someone left to fool us."
The next Yank that tells me that "Oklahoma doesn't have mountains"...I'm gonna push off this one...
Other cousin in the non-rain. On top of Mt. Scott. He was very dismayed when we told him we were going up a higher one than the one we just climbed. Eventually we told him we could drive up this one.

Being home gives me more time to spend on my photos. As opposed to just grabbing shots in passing and hoping they come out okay in processing.

Drifting...

And it's no one's fault,
there's no one to blame
As we move away from this tiny flame.
Who pulled back? Which moved away?
Was I the first? Or could you have stayed?

~~~~~~
I wrote this the other day. My first attempt at real writing in a very long time. As sad as it comes across, I wasn't really in a particularly depressed mood that day either. Just random. I think it started because I had a song galloping around in my brain.
"And it's no one's fault
There's no black and white
Only you and me..."
Anyway, somehow from that came another refrain. When I realized I was no longer thinking the words to the song, I also realized I was very attached to it already. So there it be, Inflicted on a poor and unsuspecting void.
Goodnight, Void.
Recital Hobbies
Yes, this is the only picture you are getting from the percussion recital. And no we don't want to talk about it. And I am very sure I am going to be very ill the day of the concert on the lawn, so I can't perform that day. So very sorry and all that rot...
~!~!~!~
My newest hobby?
Telling random people things they couldn't help but know already.
For instance:
"Hey, you're carrying a red bucket."
"Um, I think you should know there are a lot of little kids following you." (To a kindergarten teacher)
"It's raining out here."
" Are you aware that your shirt is very red?"
"You have striped socks on..."
The responses you get are varied and always amusing, though seldom intelligent.
