Of little to no consequence...

Today, I called 911. All of my own will. And was summarily dismissed as being unnecessary and pointless. Sigh. Such is my daily luck. However unneeded it may have turned out, I am none the less convinced it was the only thing to do. To merely assume that someone else would or had called to report the fire would be as inexcusable as any complacency ever is.
Complacency as often kills as it harms in other ways. It is truly dangerous.
I refuse to take part in it.
So there it lies.
