Today I found an app for blogger. Coolio. Maybe this will let me blog as often as the varied thoughts spinning around my brain beg me to. Slowly but surely making this new iPhone more in keeping with my tastes and personality. So here is my first blog from my new smart phone.
Just in case you were wondering, it has not yet made me feel more smartical. Maybe that takes a while...

This evening we were visited by the second earthquake in as many days.
Yesterday around 2 am and then another larger and more shallow one around the same time tonight. (for those who do not live in California, that means that it could be felt for a very long distance and shook for a good minute.) The final Usgs reading is 4.7 and then a 5.6. The record up until now was 5.5 in 1956. We are still feeling a few tiny aftershocks and the poor dogs are unsure how to protect the family from this unknown terror.
