The Ex-Termite-enator

Someplace twixt here and there.
~~~~~
I have discovered that termites freak me out. Not that I am afraid of them, I have yet to find an insect I am actually afraid of. (Although there are a few I have a healthy dose of respect for due to the teeth and venom, but none that I am truly terrified to see or be around. I am usually the one people call to get bugs or spiders they find.) But rather that having that many on me or around me when I am trying to type drives me mad. I hate the little pests and the only thing I can find to like about them is that they have a very organized home life. Seriously, if I die tomorrow, look in my ear. One probably crawled inside and died! I think I could easily become an exterminator at this point with no qualms whatsoever. AAARRRGGG!! There is another one! KILL!
~~~~~
Overheard in the back of the car; " I am not choking you, now let go of my hand!" Yes he was holding her hand to his throat and acting like he was choking. L1 and L2. Don't ask me what's wrong with them! They ain't mine!
~~~~~
I'd call her a cancerous growth. (You know you love me! :) )
Quote Of The Day:
Larry: And for some reason they won’t let us move the walls of the actual house.
Alan: How inflexible of them.
Taken in Ohio, Cincinnati someplace. Very interesting building. I don't know what it is, though.
Quote; " It's really pretty but quite odd looking." No, Phil, I was not talking about you. It was the clouds, look at the clouds! Although you are odd, usually you don't really look it. :)
Time marches on....
This was the very first in my "Vines" series. DT OKC, a wall beside the water taxi boarding dock. Fairly pleased with the end product.
Quote Of The Day:
If any one faculty of our nature may be called more wonderful than the rest, I do think it is memory. There seems something more speakingly incomprehensible in the powers, the failures, the inequalities of memory, than in any other of our intelligences. The memory is sometimes so retentive, so serviceable, so obedient; at others, so bewildered and so weak; and at others again, so tyrannic, so beyond control! We are, to be sure, a miracle every way; but our powers of recollecting and of forgetting do seem peculiarly past finding out.
Rising from the deep......
Not really. It was a fountian in Down Town OKC, at night. We were going to ride the water taxis and I took a couple shots of this. Very pleased with how it came out.
Summertime Reflections
Summer time is almost here again. Well, spring at least. This was taken at last year's Red Earth Festival, with my Canon EOS Rebel, 35mm, low-ish ISO and Fast-ish shutter speed. No clue on the F-stop though. My only problem with this picture is the reflection of a person in the water. Other than that it came out fairly as I had hoped.
If I could Fall Into The Sky.....
This would be the kind to fall into. Doesn't it just look all cushy and warm?
Somewhere twixt here and there. (Again) Sorry I don't really have a lot of new pictures 'cause I need a camera to take pictures. I know, it's a terrible excuse. Only one I've got, though. Love the sky when it looks like this. Makes you just want to be an eagle for the privilege to sour through it.
LadyAnne
"A Thousand Miles"
Making my way downtown
Walking fast Faces pass
And I'm home bound
Staring blankly ahead Just making my way
Making a way Through the crowd
And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder....If I could fall
Into the sky Do you think time
Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk A thousand miles
If I could Just see you Tonight
It's always times like these When I think of you
And I wonder If you ever Think of me
'Cause everything's so wrong
And I don't belong Living in your Precious memories
'Cause I need you And I miss you And now I wonder....
If I could fall Into the sky
Do you think time Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk A thousand miles
If I could Just see you Tonight
And I, I Don't want to let you know I, I Drown in your memory
I, I Don't want to let this go I, I Don't....
Making my way downtown
Walking fast Faces pass And I'm home bound
Staring blankly ahead Just making my way
Making a way Through the crowd
And I still need you And I still miss you
And now I wonder....If I could fall Into the sky
Do you think time Would pass us by
'Cause you know I'd walk A thousand miles
If I could Just see you...
If I could fall Into the sky
Do you think time Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk A thousand miles
If I could Just see you If I could Just hold you
Tonight
Hope Fades..
"Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time"
- Into The West, Annie Lennox-
Taken someplace between the city and home. On a small point and shoot, Canon powershot 360 or something like.
Quote Of The Day:
I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.
Some Dude
Some guy, who played some game,(baseball, obviously) and was some-what good, so got some statue in front of some stadium in some city in Oklahoma. (Is it just me or is he leaning?) Feel free to inform me if you smarter then I people happen to know who he was. Me, I really couldn't care much less than I do now. I know he ain't Lou Gehrig and that's about it.
HaPpY DaY, hApPy dAy!!!
Better late than never? I wuv you more than they do. :)
"Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose To get the sun back in the sky. Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose About a thousand kisses shy. Ding dong ding I can hear the chapel bell chime. Ding dong ding At the least suggestion I'll pop the question. Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose Without a sweetheart to my name. Lida Rose, now everyone knows That I am hoping you're the same So here is my love song, not fancy or fine Lida Rose, oh won't you be mine Lida Rose, oh Lida Rose oh Lida Rose."
Happy Birthday, Rosie
(Sorry I'm late, couldn't find the stinkin' song anywhere.)
Big wheels keep on rolling......
Another in my line of Big rig Pictures. Taken somewhere between here and Ohio, ( as most of my pictures are) on a little point and shoot digital camera, Canon powershot something or other. I need to go ahead and get the Canon EOS SLR Digital Rebel. It's gone down a whole ten dollars. Now it's only 989.99 instead of 999.99. Whoo hoo. Whoops of never ending joy. Wish they would come out with a newer, better one so it would start getting cheaper.
(By the by, if anyone wants to donate to help me afford my camera, I'll not say you nay. :) There's a donate button on the sidebar. )
Charlie: Hey, hey, don’t get all Fleinhart on me. It’s just the Physics Department paper airplane contest. Larry: Fl-Fleinhart? Since when did my last name become a predicate adjective? Charlie (fighting a grin): Since your students started using it that way.
